Specialised in pump and hydraulic components

We understand the requirements of this industry: sealing surfaces, fits, technical cleanliness, and dimensional stability under pressure.
That is why we produce turned parts specifically designed for hydraulic and fluid systems — from prototype to series, ready for assembly and fully documented.

Manufacture even more cost-effectively — with no compromise on quality

Thanks to our setup in the tri-border region, we leverage the labour-cost advantages of our Polish and Czech partners, combined with German manufacturing depth and process control at our Zittau site.
The result: noticeably lower production costs — with consistent precision and on-time delivery.

Less project effort for complex parts

By closely coordinating surface finishing, hardening, and assembly, we reduce interfaces and avoid duplicate work.
The result: less coordination effort, faster series release, and lower project costs.

German quality with a zero-defect standard

All parts are inspected at our Zittau site — with in-house measurement data acquisition, SPC monitoring, and optical inspection for chips and residues.
You can rely on complete traceability, stable series processes, and reproducible quality.

Optimisation of material usage & process costs

Unlike traditional contract manufacturers, we do not simply produce strictly to drawing.
On request, we bring in our design know-how and show where small changes to geometry, material, or machining can further reduce material and process costs — without compromising function or quality.

High flexibility

in mid-volume series

Many machining shops specialise either in very small series or in mass production.
We sit in between: cost-efficient from 300 to 10,000 pieces — exactly the volume range where pump and hydraulics manufacturers need flexible call-offs, stable quality, and predictable pricing.

Already sourcing assembly- and surface-finished turned parts from a single supplier?

You've likely come across all-in-one, single-source, or full-service offerings for your turned parts. Johnson Drehtechnik takes a different approach to help you avoid the typical pitfalls:

Cost Structure

Delivery Time & Routes

Quality & Risk

Option A:

Turning shop with regional sub-suppliers

Unnoticed higher unit prices from subcontractors
Longer transport routes & reduced flexibility
-

Option B:

International all-in-one sourcing

Cost savings often come at the expense of quality
Long lead times and communication gaps
Risk of complaints and language barriers
Option C:

About Us

Johnson Drehtechnik GmbH stands for continuous development through ongoing optimization of its production processes. Founded in Zittau in 1992 from a former VEB operation, the company is still run as a family business today.
With around 60 employees, we manufacture precision turned parts for customers throughout Germany and Europe — predominantly in fluid technology, pumps, and hydraulics.
Our location in the tri-border area of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic creates short distances, close partnerships, and economic structures that deliver real advantages to our customers.
Through consistent investment in modern CNC technologies and in sustainable training and development initiatives, we have transformed from a small contract turning shop into a modern, internationally networked industrial company — grounded in Zittau, open to the future.
